More than half of all European cultural values are concentrated in Italy. In fact, the whole country is one huge open-air museum. Much of what is worth noting has been created by nature itself: these are incredibly beautiful alpine slopes, the beaches of the Adriatic and the Mediterranean, the rocky coasts of the Gulf of Naples, as well as numerous reserves and lakes.
In addition to natural beauty, Italy is the ruins of a powerful ancient civilization, cultural and architectural monuments, gloomy medieval castles and, of course, museums and galleries. This country gave the world more than a dozen outstanding painters, sculptors and other artists, and today all this heritage is carefully preserved in numerous Italian galleries and is available to every tourist.
